Regulations
I. THE ORGANIZER
7th Warsaw Half Marathon is organized by the Warsaw Marathon Foundation.

II. DATE AND PLACE
1. The race will be held on March 25, 2012 in the streets of Warsaw.
2. The race will start at 10:00 a.m.
3. The length of the course is 21.0975 K (13.1 miles). The course is certified by the National Track and Field Federation and IAAF.
4. Every kilometre will be marked with vertical and horizontal signs.
5. The start area comprises of four pens: the elite pen and three pens for the rest of the field.
III. TIME LIMIT
1. The time limit to complete the race is 3.5 hours.
2. The runners, who by 1:30 p.m. will not reach the finish line, are requested to step off the course or get to the finish line on the "END OF RACE" bus.
IV. REFRESHMENT STATIONS
1. Refreshment stations with water and isotonic drinks will be located approximately every 4 kilometres (total of 4 stations).
2. Time splits will be taken at kilometers 5, 10 and 15.
V. PARTICIPATION
1. Participation in the race is allowed only to individuals who will be 18 years old by March 25, 2012.
2. To participate in the race it is necessary to undergo identity check in the race office.
The working hours of the race office:
March 23 (Friday): 3 p.m. - 8.00 p.m.
March 24 (Saturday): 10.00 a.m. - 9.00 p.m.
3. Every participant will receive an individual race kit with a race bib, a timing chip, safety pins and a commemorative T-shirt.
4. In order to pick your race kit you should have a personal starting card that will be sent to you by email to the email account you enter in the race registration form. The personal starting card should be printed individually by the runner, signed and brought to the race office. No other ID is necessary. If you fail to have your starting card with you it will be possible to pick the race kit by presenting your ID. No medical certificate is required.
5. Any decisions of the medical staff made during the race on whether individual runners are allowed to continue the race are ultimate and are not subject to any claims.
6. The organizer undertakes no responsibility for cancelling or postponing the race.
7. The race participants must follow the applicable rules of the National Track and Field Federation and these regulations.
VI. APPLICATION
1. To register one has to fill in the entry form available at www.polmaratonwarszawski.com or send a paper application to the address of the organizer:

2. The on-line registration will be closed on March 19, 2012. After this date the registration will be possible only in the race office on 23-24 March. No race-day registration!
3. An entry is considered complete if the application and the entry fee have been made.
VII. COMPETITION

VIII. PRIZES
1. Every finisher will receive a finisher's medal.
2. Finishers 1-3 in all categories will receive commemorative trophies.
3. The organizers may offer other trophies and prizes in categories of their choice.
IX. ENTRY FEES
1. To participate in the race it is necessary to pay the entry fee.
The rates:
by 29.02.2012: 20.00 EUR
by 19.03.2012: 30.00 EUR
after 19.03.2012: 40.00 EUR (attention – after march 19 there will be a pool of 200 race bibs available – no guarantee to receive a race number if payment is made after March 19).
2. If a payment is made in insufficient amount the remaining difference must be paid by the runner during the identity check in the race office.
3. Payments can be made with a credit card via Polcard system available through http://polmaratonwarszawski.pl or by a bank transfer made to: Fundacja "Maraton Warszawski", Bank BPH 77 1060 0076 0000 3200 8704. Nota bene: the entry fee must be the amount that is finally transferred to the bank account of the race organizer. All accompanying fees and charges must be incurred by the payer.
5. Persons born in 1947 or earlier pay 50% of the entry fee appliacable in a given time period provided that they send in their entry form on or before February 29, 2012.
6. As soon as the entry fee is transferred to the bank account of the organizer a race number will appear on the start list next to the runner's name.
7. The organizers are not liable for loss of the entry form or the money order or the bank transfer through fault of the post office or the bank.
8. Once paid, the fee is not subject to reimbursement. It is not possible to transfer the paid amount onto another participant once it has been paid. It is possible to transfer the paid amount onto another event organized by the Foundation "Warsaw Marathon" but the necessary information must be sent to the organizer by March 11, 2012.
X. ACCOMMODATION AND BOARD
1. The organizers undertake to offer free sleeping space in a gym on the night 24/25 March to all those who tick the appropriate box in the entry form. The organizers do not provide mattresses or sleeping bags. Referrals to lodgings shall be issued at the Race Centre. Competitors shall be put up for the night after showing their referrals. It is forbidden to bring in or to consume alcohol at the gym and to stay at the hall while drunk. Persons who do not observe this rule will be removed from the hall.
Note! The entry form with the ticked reservation must reach the organizers by 29 Feb 2012 at the latest.
2. As part of the start fee the competitor is entitled to the following benefits: the race bib, free refreshments along the course, a commemorative medal and a refreshment kit at the finish line (drinks, snacks). Additionally, every runner can have access to free medical services, massage, clothes deposit during the race and showers.
XI. FINAL PROVISIONS
1. During the run all competitors must have their start numbers attached to the front of the their race tops. Covering start numbers in part or in whole or its modification is forbidden under the penalty of being disqualified.
2. Staying on the route of the 7th Warsaw Half Marathon without a valid start number is prohibited. Persons without valid start numbers shall be removed from the route by the service crew of the run. No inline skates, bikes, walking sticks or other devices are allowed.
3. Written complaints regarding the results should be sent to the organizers by 18:00 hrs of 26 March, 2012 to info@maratonwarszawski.com. Complaints will be judged within 24 hours and the final official results will be publiched on March 29, 2012.
4. The race certificate of the 6th Warsaw Halfmarathon can be printed by a runner from www.polmaratonwarszawski.pl. The certificates will be available from April 8, 2012.
5. A random doping control will be carried after the race.
6. Competitors shall receive in the start package a bag marked with a start number, for any belongings deposited in a specially designated place next to the competition office. The bag may be claimed back only on the basis of the start number. In case the start number should get lost by the competitor, the organizers bear no responsibility for the bag being claimed by another. No precious items (including documents, money, credit cards) are allowed in the deposits.
7. Changing tents will be available before and after the race.
8. The race has an insurance policy necessary for this type of events. Any individual injuries or harms that a runner may suffer from during the race require an additional individual policy to be acquired by a runner.
9. Only the organizers of the 7th Warsaw Halfmarathon have the right for the binding and final interpretation of these regulations.

REGULATIONS FOR TEAM CLASSIFICATION
OF THE 7th WARSAW HALFMARATHON
1. Teams representing sports clubs, companies, institutions, other communities as well as groups of competitors running under a common aegis may take part in the team classification.
2. A team consists of minimum 4 persons including minimum one woman. There is no upper limit of the number of members of a team.
3. Competitors who are members of subsequent teams are subject to the regulations of the Warsaw Half Marathon. One competitor may represent one team.
4. The captain is responsible for his/her team. He/She is the only person who:
* registers the team for participation in the team classification,
* decides about the line-up of the team,
* acts on behalf of the team,
* contacts with the organizers.
5. As the final result of the team shall be regarded the sum of four best gun times achieved by its members including minimum one woman. The winning team is the one whose sum of four abovementioned times is the lowest. In case the run is completed by fewer than 4 competitors representing the team (including at least one woman), the team shall not be classified.
6. The captain registers the team by sending its full line-up (forenames, surnames and the years of birth of the competitors and their race numbers) to the following address: info@maratonwarszawski.com. Applications for registration of teams may be sent by 16 March 2012. After 16 March no changes in the line-up of the teams will be possible.
7. Team classification is carried out as general classification. We do not divide into age categories here. The organizers reserve the right to organize internal classifications as part of team classification.
8. In case more than one team achieves identical results, the final order in the final classification shall depend on: first, the number of registered competitors (the higher the number - the higher the position) and then the times of the best competitors in a team.
9. The three best teams shall receive trohpies.
